This is the beginning of a 20 plus year process.
It all started back in the early 90's when Joe came home and told me he had seen a car.
With reluctance I went with him to look at it, and after some pleading and
begging I bought it for him for $1,700.00.

Me in 1992 with the Camaro. It sure was ugly LOL.

After trying to do some of the restoration ourselves,
we realized it was more than we could handle at the time with being so
young we were limited on money. Then life got in the way and the car was pushed
in several garages until one day we found a man that was up for the challenge.

We had decided on the color cortez silver and we were excited to have finally
found some one to start working on our car.. until we seen the results!
Wow what a bad mistake it turned out to be. Just a disaster!
He had done such a terrible job and we had wasted all our money that we
had saved up for it. Talk about being discouraged and very disappointed!!
Needless to say we put it off for another 10 years.

Then one day Joe was at a friends house and seen some Model A fenders
painted in black. He went over and looked at them a bit closer, wiped
off the layer of dust (his friend owns a lumber yard)
and he could see his reflection in them. He asked his friend Allen
"Who painted these"? And Allen's response was Joe Edwards.
Joe said "oh my" does he do this for a living? Allen's response was "yes".
Allen gave Joe Joe Edwards phone number and they arranged to have a meeting.

After we met and talked with him and agreed on a price, the restoration began.

Car being loaded on the flat bed and Joe saying goodbye.

All loaded up and ready for her journey.

   Off she goes.. Finally! Yay!

25th Anniversay present Joe bought me a 2013 SS Camaro.

I love my car! And it is FAST!! LOL

I have a little video Joe took from inside of the truck
of me driving by doing 90 mph down M 115
I am so lucky I did not get a ticket ..yikes!!

Front view of the 2013. Looks Pretty tough don't you think!

I love this picture of my car. It looks so mysterious!

 The 1969 is finally done.

Here she is in all her beautiful glory!
We have never been so happy or proud!
It turned out to be a show car he did such a nice job.
Every part on this car is brand new.

Finally back at home in our yard.

The engine in the car is a 383 Stroker with a Dart block
and Dart aluminum heads that dynoed out at 512 horse power and 525 lbs of torque.

The engine is dressed up with braided hoses and a
Concept One pully package "Bling".. Lol

We decided on the 1969 Hounds Tooth interior.
I was not sure if I liked it when it arrived but
when I seen it in the car I would not of wanted anything else.

We went with a polished American Racing wheel Torque Thrust 2
They look Old School. Our tires are 205/65/15 in the front
and 255/60/15 in the back and are Master Craft.

The song on the page playing is by Deep Purple
it fit both of us so perfectly with each and every word
so I decided to use it for our page :)
Here are the lyrics if you would like to sing along.

  "Highway Star"
 Nobody gonna take my car
I'm gonna race it to the ground
 Nobody gonna beat my car
It's gonna break the speed of sound
 Oooh it's a killing machine
 It's got everything
Like a driving power big fat tyres
 and everything

I love it and I need it
I bleed it yeah it's a wild hurricane
 Alright hold tight
 I'm a highway star

 Nobody gonna take my girl
I'm gonna keep her to the end
 Nobody gonna have my girl
She stays close on every bend
 Oooh she's a killing machine
 She's got everything
Like a moving mouth body control
 and everything

I love her I need her
 I seed her
 Yeah She turns me on
 Alright hold on tight
 I'm a highway star

 Nobody gonna take my head
I got speed inside my brain
 Nobody gonna steal my head
Now that I'm on the road again
Oooh I'm in heaven again I've got everything
Like a moving ground an open road
 and everything

I love it and I need it
 I seed it
 Eight cylinders all mine
 Alright hold on tight
 I'm a highway star

 Nobody gonna take my car
I'm gonna race it to the ground
 Nobody gonna beat my car
It's gonna break the speed of sound
 Oooh it's a killing machine
 It's got everything
 Like a driving power big
 fat tyres and everything

I love it and I need it
 I bleed it
 Yeah it's a wild hurricane
 Alright hold on tight
 I'm a highway star
 I'm a highway star
 I'm a highway star
